The Book: the odds, before anyone pays
bps bps of backing
| solve a pool to see the odds |
Cheap positions are drawn often, rich ones rarely. Each has the same expected exposure per draw, so fees are split equally.
Deciding up front settles the draw in one step. Set it on the spin.
A pull has a deadline
A pull takes two steps. The buyer pays, then a new block decides which position they drew, and someone must settle it. If nobody settles inside the window, the fee goes to the depositors and the buyer gets nothing.
The machine page settles while its tab is open, our server backs it up, and anyone can settle any draw.
| step | who acts | when |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · request | the buyer, in their wallet | the fee is held and the reveal block is fixed |
| 2 · the reveal | nobody: the chain | — after the request |
| 3 · settle | anyone, including the spin page | within —, or the fee is forfeited |
| 4 · keep or take the bid | the buyer, in their wallet | —, unless they decided up front |
The pools
Put one up
Low backings get drawn most often, and your token can be drawn early, before it earns much in fees.
Every pool has a minimum backing, so one tiny deposit can’t drag its price down.
The pot, and putting something in
Back it at or above what’s inside. An underbacked prize gets sniped by bots and drags the whole pool’s price down.
