Mod a game.
Our games are open source. You don't have to make a game to build one: change one, run it and share it.
Three ways in
Run your own serverFork the game, change the rules, host your version and invite people. Coins only pay out on a game's official servers.
Get it mergedSend your change to the game as a pull request. If the game takes it, you're paid like any job on the board.
Build tools for a gameEditors, balancers, map makers. A tool a game adopts goes in the same way, as a pull request.
Start with Gates
100-player survival, open source- Fork it: github.com/AnthonE/Gates. Its README says how to build it and run a server.
- Pick a job: Gates’ board lists what it pays for.
- Share it: a join link, elo://join/gates/<host:port>, drops a friend into your server from the launcher.
The rules
- Keep the game's licence, and say what you changed.
- Your own world, your own work. No other game's names, characters or art.
- Official servers change through the game's repo, so a merge is how a mod reaches them.
